Bio/Statement/Resume'......
Danny was born in Miami Florida in 1972. He is a first generation American born citizen from Cuban immigrant parents. He is also one of six siblings, including
a twin brother who is only five minutes older than him.
His parents were both forced into newly unexplored territories in America.
After high school he attended New World School of the Arts in Downtown Miami. During which every evening, he would also work as a Gallery Assistant at Fredrick Snitzer Gallery. He learns to stretch large canvas onto frames, install and package artwork as well. After college, he begins to work as a designer and illustrator for various sign companies. Meanwhile, he would occupy an art studio at the Bakehouse Art Complex located in the Miami Wynwood-Art District. In 2004 he forms dadapoet
Industries Inc.(dadapoet inc.). It would become an art based organization helping the South Florida art community. He would eventually publish “Ezayah’s Silhouettes-Distant Storms are brewing” in 2012 followed by a comic version in 2016.
He was a 15 year Senior Artist at DVG (Diaspora Vibe Gallery) under Rosie Gordon Wallace Miami, Fl., later a DANG Artist (Disbanded Artists Negotiate Galleries)from 2015-2016.
Danny currently lives and works in Wynwood, Fl. He continues to focus on his current campaingn: Art @ 138 and “We are Wynwood” project(s). These series of work(s) are inspired by both new and pre-existing cultures living and/or working together in the vibrant Neighboring Wynwood areas. He continues to explore various conventional and unconventional materials in creating unique Mix-Media Works of Art, including Installation(s), Murals, Sculpture, Drawings; Digital Works of Art etc…
The documentation of his immediate surroundings has always been part of his repertoire which now also includes the construction worker. The construction worker has become an iconic and intricate figure during the recent economic growth of the “Wynwood’s Midtown” region. Whether it’s the Artist, Bearded Hipster, Haitian Women, the Homeless or a Starbuck’s customer, even the Construction Worker, Danny believes that every person and every creed residing in Wynwood is part of a very distinctive breed of individuals…..

The daily subconscious; mental documentation of everyday life has always been the core of my creativity.
Trying to remember subtle occurrences which have a great impact on the “inner us or persona” has always fascinated me. It’s exhilarating to dissect those simple and very subtle moments in time and eventually make them into very sophisticated works of art. The materials themselves, although many times independent in nature, will eventually come together to become “one in the same”. This unification of different materials and/or media as used to complete the work, is always a welcomed challenge. I take the various steps in completing each task very seriously. Sometimes steps can become daunting and it would probably be easier to stop between steps. Nonetheless, the ultimate goal of creating is to finish. Finishing what has been started is not only my art code, but my code for life as well.
I have continued to elaborate on various evolving projects and/or (multi)mix-media works of art. My choice of materials can range from painting to utilizing self-created sculptures made from wire and plaster.
I am always working; always learning and applying these learned attributes into my routine. In this daily creative process, many more sub-series of work can then be created within the initial scope. I believe that only in this manner can all visual interpretations withstand the test of time. My journey as an artist continues into the unknown. Although, I am proud to say that the unknown is usually exactly where I want to be.
